Euro Disney 2012
Hi all, sorry I haven't been around for a while. We had a long weekend away at Euro Disney this weekend after winning a holiday with Morrisons supermarket :-)
We had a fantastic holiday and my highlight was when my little girl clapped and danced to the "Hot Dog Song" at the live Disney Junior stage show. She also got a little overwelmed when she saw Mickey Mouse and she cried, she was a very proud little girl when he held her hand.
There are only a few days left to take advantage of the transition starter kits (where you receive both the autumn/winter and spring/summer wax testers). Scentsy World Tour 2012
Yesterday was Scenty's World Tour held in Birmingham.
Getting there was an adventure! We travelled from Essex to Birmingham with roadworks limiting us to 50mph nearly the whole journey and then drove around in circles trying to find our hotel once we finally made it to Birmingham! Our heads finally hit the pillow at 1.30am!
Our alarm clock went off at 6.30am, time for a quick bath, breakfast and walking down to the Novotel Hotel for a 9am start. When we got there, there were lots of very excited women (and men) queuing for registration. After seeing and speaking to people on our Facebook groups for so many months, I was looking forward to finally meeting people in "the flesh".
It was great to meet so many consultants and learn more about Scentsy's background and growth rates. There are currently 160,000 consultants worldwide, with only 421 in the UK at the moment. The opportunities are endless!
At the end of the day, our new products for the Spring/Summer catalogue were revealed. The baby Scentsy Buddies were very cute and I am particularly excited about the new Travel Tins. We all received a massive bag of freebies including a baby buddy, scent pak, travel tin, a solid perfume and wax bar (and some of us were lucky enough to win some new products as well!). There were a lot of happy smiley faces when we left, full of anticipation for the future.
On the drive home, the temperature dropped down to -7, I cannot wait for the summer!!

Jane - Scentsy's Best Selling Full-Size Warmer
After a day playing in the snow, I have finally defrosted and settled down on the sofa with a cup of tea! The day began at 7.30am with my daughter trying to open our curtains to tell us it was "morning". After noticing "the grass has gone" she grabbed her stool from the bathroom to look out of the window and started shouting "I need a carrot for the nose". It was at this point we accepted our "lay in" was over!! 30 minutes later we were outside making a snowman!! I had forgotten how exciting snow is, before now I have always dreaded it as it terrifies me to drive in it, but today has definetly brought the magic of snow back to me.
I am really looking forward to this week. On Friday me and my husband are travelling to Birmingham for the Scentsy World Tour, which is happening on Saturday. I am really looking forward to meeting all the other consultants and having a day of training and product reveals. I can't wait to see if any of the new warmers take the torch away from "Jane" - Scentsy's worldwide best selling full-size warmer.

An exciting month for Scentsy!
Hi all
Sorry I haven't been on here for a few days, I worked all weekend and combining that with a 3 year old and a business doesn't leave a lot of spare time - but I love it!
Today is the 1 February and its a really exciting month for Scentsy.
Firstly we have our 10% off sale. It's a great time to buy a warmer or stock up on waxes! My website is www.thecandleboutique.co.uk. Take a look at our great products.
Secondly is if you have been considering joining Scentsy, February is the best month to do this. Not only will you receive the current catalogue and testers, but you will also receive the Spring/Summer catalogue and testers for no extra price. I've had one lovely lady join my team today and I am really excited about helping her business grow :-)
We've also had the new Spring/Summer catalogue uploaded onto our consultants page last night - loads of consultants stayed up late last night to see what the new products would be - I tried but passed out at 10.30pm lol When I woke up this morning my Facebook wall was full of pictures of the new warmers.

My Scentsy Story - How it Began!
Hi all!
After a very bad personal experience back in August 2011, I needed something to distract me and focus my attention on. I have a three year old daughter who is at pre-school 3 half-days a week and nursery 1 day a week and when I'm not at work (part-time as a Care Assistant) I found my mind wandering. I desperately needed to find something to focus my energy on.
Like everybody these days, a little extra cash in the pocket would be great so I thought of looking into joining a direct selling company. I originally considered the obvious ones like Betterware, Kleeneze and Avon but had to be honest with myself that catalogue delivery and collection seemed a little menotinous and as there are so many consultants out there to compete with I didn't see these as a long-term option.
I then started browsing the web reading about all the different companies out there trying to find something that I was genuinly interested in and would actually want to buy myself. I ended up browsing forums such as Netmums and Money Saving Expert and kept finding references to a company called "Scentsy". I had never heard of them before and was intrigued to learn what it was they did. I googled Scentsy and it took me straight to the US website which then redirected me to the UK site. As soon as I saw the products I instantly new this was for me! I loved the designs of the warmers and when I read the fragrance descriptions I could visualise it in my home. I then browsed the website and was hooked!!
I had a look at how to join Scentsy as I knew this was for me - now was the time to break the news to my husband! Money was a little tight as I had been off sick from work for a few months (unpaid) and I needed to convince my husband that the joining fee was well worth the money and that I would make a success of this! We had joined Herbalife a few years ago and although we had tried very hard to make a go of it we made no money at all - we have since put this down to not loving the product - you need to have a passion for it - so he suggested before I jumped in both feet first, I ask questions. I got in touch with a consultant, Sarah and asked thousands of questions! I already knew I was joining but had to go through the motions for my husband! lol
The next day, my husband could see my determination and I signed up. The joining fee is £94.00 (including shipping) but for that price you receive over £200.00 of products plus three months free website subscription. My mind was buzzing with ideas of how to sell (I am quite a shy person and the thought of party hosting terrified me so I knew I had to concentrate on other ideas). My husband hijacked my laptop for days designing our homepage for our website www.thecandleboutique.co.uk (after hours of discussions deciding a name for my business) and Sarah added me to all the closed Facebook groups for Scentsy Consultants. It was slightly strange when I first joined these pages, I thought consultants would be very competitive because, at the end of the day, everyone wants the sale, but this couldn't have been further from the truth. I hate it when people say "we are one big family" etc etc but everyone was incredibly welcoming and helpful that I knew Scentsy was my future. I created a fan page http://www.facebook.com/#!/x.The.Candle.Boutique.x and started letting my friends and family know of my new venture.
I sat patiently waiting for the UPS man to arrive with my starter kit and when I saw the lovely sight of that brown van pull up outside my house, it was like all my Christmases had come at once! Me and my daughter raced to the door (me as I was so excited about getting my kit) and Emily as she was going through a stage of telling visitors to our door that she had two nans!!
Emily grabbed Mollie the Monkey from the box (a soft-toy with replaceable scent paks) and I set my warmer up with the fragrance bar Skinny Dippin' - yum. xx

Scentsy is a wickless candle system which uses is a highly fragrant wax bar that is warmed to release fragrance into the air at 52 degrees.
